These terms of use apply to your use of the EndoFriendly app, provided by Louis Krause, Rehwechsel 11, 21224 Rosengarten, Germany ("we", see Legal Notice). By using the app, you agree to these terms. EndoFriendly is intended for people aged 16 and over; if you are younger, you may only use the app with a parent's or guardian's consent.
EndoFriendly requires no user account and stores your entries locally on your device (see Privacy Policy). Some features are free to use; full functionality requires a subscription or a one-time purchase (see section 13). For the free features, no purchase agreement is formed; to that extent, these terms govern only your use of the app.
EndoFriendly is a personal diary and analysis tool. Its content, analyses, and features (e.g. cycle phases, flare risk, trigger patterns, the Bristol stool scale, PBAC/FIGO bleeding classification, Rome IV criteria) do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations, and do not replace seeing a doctor. Always consult a physician, emergency services, or another qualified professional for health questions, concerns, or emergencies.
All analyses are based on your own entries and simple statistical methods. Figures, calculations, and analyses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or simply wrong. Product, nutrition, and allergen information (e.g. from the barcode search) and recipe content come from Open Food Facts and TheMealDB respectively, are not verified by us, and may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect. If you have allergies or intolerances, never rely on this information alone — always check original packaging yourself. Don't make medical decisions based on the app alone.
Barcode/product search queries world.openfoodfacts.org, recipe search queries TheMealDB, and — if configured — translations are sent to the DeepL API (see Privacy Policy). These services are operated by independent third parties; we take no responsibility for their content, availability, or their own terms of use.
Your entries remain your property. Since they're stored locally, you grant us no rights to them whatsoever. We (or our licensors) retain all rights to the app's own content, branding, design, and text; use beyond the app's intended purpose is not permitted.
We aim to operate the app reliably but cannot guarantee constant availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device — particularly since the third-party services listed in section 5 are outside our control.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the Product Liability Act, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slightly negligent breaches of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) whose fulfillment enables the use of the app in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of app. Beyond that, liability for slightly negligent damage is excluded. In particular, we are not liable for damages arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated analyses, classifications, or third-party data (see sections 3-5), unless caused by intent or gross negligence on our part.
We may change, extend, or discontinue individual app features. These terms may be updated accordingly; the current version is always available in the app. For material changes, we'll notify you the next time you open the app.
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; beforehand, you can export or delete your locally stored data via "Settings → Danger Zone". No separate right of termination is needed, as no contractual relationship exists; an active subscription is unaffected by this and must be cancelled separately through your Apple or Google account (see section 13).
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of that country remain unaffected by this choice of law.
Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
Full access to EndoFriendly is available via a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time purchase for permanent unlock; the term, price, and any free trial on offer (currently up to 7 days) are shown on the in-app payment screen and in the respective store before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple or Google account is charged within that 24-hour window. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited the moment you cancel within the same subscription period or switch to a different plan. Purchases, cancellations, and refunds are handled entirely through your Apple or Google account — the app itself has no account of its own for this; manage it in the app under "Settings → Manage subscription" or directly in your Apple/Google account's purchase settings.
